Jack William WOOLGAR was born on 13th September 1913 at Tolworth in Surrey and he was the eldest child of Jack WOOLGAR and Maud HARVEY. He married twice and Tim WOOLGAR is his youngest son.
Jack was a very well-known and versatile character actor and appeared on the stage, in films and in TV. He was often cast in the role of an elderly man with a hacking'workouse cough'. The image on the right depicts him as "Carney", his famous role in ITV's "Crossroads" soap.
