DIARY The Hampshire Genealogical Society Open Day will be taking place on Sunday 20 September 2009 at Horndean Community College..
DIARY Storrington Museum will be holding a third annual Open Day for Family Historians on Sunday 04 October 2009 from 10am to 4pm. More details available here.
DIARY The ever popular West Surrey FHS Open day at Woking will be held on Saturday 31st October 2009 from 10am to 4.30pm at Woking Leisure Centre.
DIARY The Sussex & South London Family History Fair will take place at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley on Sunday 14th February 2010 between 10am and 5pm.
CHART CHANGES

As the direct result of correspondence with David Woolgar of Canada and after extensive consultation with Bob Hyslop, connections have been made which link Chart MISC 060 et seq of the Without-Henfield sequence with Chart 1 of the Henfield sequence. I had hoped to have finished this work by now, but illness has once again intervened.

Sussex Poor Law data is always difficult to find, but it is getting a bit easier these days. If you think that your family might have been subject to a Settlement Examination, Removal Order etc, you can now make an online search for details. The database is part of an ongoing project, so make a point of revisiting the site every so often. Sussex Record Society Database .

A new CD of data from Sussex Quarter Sessions cases has been published by the PRTS. Its called "The Sussex Poor 1661 - 1800", costs £10 and is available via their web site. .
